The Vineyards of Vila Alva Promotion Project, which is focused on the villages of Vila Alva (in the municipality of Cuba) and Vila de Frades (municipality of Vidigueira) is promoted by the Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito.
It aims to promote the Vineyards of Vila Alva and Talha Wine, as part of the natural, historical, and cultural heritage of Alentejo. At the same time, it aims to boost the region as a tourist destination and reinforce its identity as a territory.
The project is divided into four main actions:
Action 1 - Heritage Qualification and Promotion
Development of technical and informative content on the history and characterisation of the Vineyards of Vila Alva and Talha Wine.
Action 2 - Digital tools for promotion Heritage
Creation of digital tools to streamline and promote the project and the associated tourist offer:
- Web Portal: in addition to providing a virtual trip to the Vineyards, Casa das Talhas and the Adega de Vidigueira, it provides information about the project, the Vineyards and their grape varieties, the production of Talha Wine, wine tourism programmes, and an events calendar.
- Promotional video: promoted on the web portal, social media, and through social communication, its main focus is on the Vineyards of Vila Alva and Talha Wine.
Action 3 - Signage
The installation of signage and information boards to share information about and indications of the location of the Vineyards of Vila Alva.
Action 4 - Communication and Dissemination of the Project
Activities to publicise the project, with the creation of a logo, promotion of pages on social media (Facebook and Instagram), a Presentation Session of the project to the press and tourism operators and advertising in international wine tourism and lifestyle magazines.
Action 5 - Monitoring
Technical assistance for project monitoring and management.
